Testing the Lowest Acid Setting for Melody Water Ionizer
Posted by Alkaline Water Plus on 4th Jun 2009
People often ask me the pH of the lowest acidic setting of my Melody water ionizer. So, I decided to do a video of my testing of it for everyone to see. This may be important for people doing water ionizer coparisons. Some water ionizers are able to reach extremes in very high or very low pH. For drinking water purposes, these extremes are unimportant. FYI, the highest and lowest pH ranges of any water ionizer will vary according to the source water, and in St. Louis the source water is around a 10pH (which is very high for tap water).
The big news here is that the Melody water ionizer (which is a fairly inexpensive…but workhorse model) is able to get some pretty amazing extremes in pH. At a 3.5pH acidity, I’m able to soak my electrode pH/ORP combo meter and keep it squeaky-clean. You’d be able to soak veggies to kill germs, or feet to heal sores, etc. with this level of pH. Nice! Also, the high pH is perfect for emulsifying the nasty (oil-based) pestisides on your veggies (and getting rid of them) as well as providing extra buffering if your diet is overly-acidic to keep your body cells and tissues more pH balanced.
