The Melody Water Ionizer Tests Great-as-Usual in Los Angeles
Posted by Alkaline Water Plus on 2nd Jan 2013
I’m in the Los Angeles county area, visiting my sons, and decided that on this trip I would test how their Jupiter Melody water ionizer was doing. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve tested it, and even then I tested it in St. Louis before I shipped it to LA.
Since the Melody is a continuous self-cleaning water ionizer I predicted that it would test as good as a brand new Melody water ionizer. But, I wasn’t 100% sure till I did this full-battery of tests.
I am impressed with how great the Melody water ionizer’s results were!
The Jupiter Melody tested fantastic at all levels! Here’s the video, followed by the chart.
Jupiter Melody Water Ionizer |
PH |
ORP |
Tap [Los Angeles] | 7.2 pH | |
Level 1 | 9.9 | -182 |
Level 2 | 10.4 | -409 |
Level 3 | 10.8 | -700 |
Level 4 | 11.1 | -813 |
Acidic Water | 2.8 |
It just never ceases to amaze me how the Melody and other continuous-cleaning water ionizers can perform with like-new results at all times, when most other water ionizers have peaks and valleys in their results!
The Melody water ionizer is particularly impressive because it tests so close to the much higher-priced water ionizers.
If you noticed in the video I poured the water at a slow flow-rate. There are a couple of reasons I do this: 1) you get better filtration when you pour the water slower, and 2) the water becomes more thoroughly ionized when poured slower. I set the flow-knob on about 1/3 of the dial.
Later, after this testing was finished, I did further testing of what one would get pouring it at the full-dial fastest possible flow-rate. The following chart shows those results.
At the Fastest Flow-Rate Possible for the Jupiter Melody |
PH |
ORP |
Level 3 | 9.4 | 0 |
Level 4 | 9.7 | -200 |
