Why Buy a Cheap Water Ionizer?

The obvious reason to buy cheap water ionizers is to save money, but if the lesser-priced water ionizer doesn’t last as long or work as well, then it may cost you more in the end to buy too cheap of a water ionizer.

Here’s a video comparing two cheap water ionizers. The Nexus water ionizer is really well-made and is certified as medical equipment in Korea, the other is Chinese-made, and I don’t recommend it.

Considering that platinum is selling for over $1500 per oz., and the plates of these water ionizers are coated with platinum, cheap water ionizers made in China are suspect!

Why not Buy a Cheap Water Ionizer?

There are dozens of start-up enterprises developing cheaper water ionizers these days. Whether they can be trusted or not is something I’ve spent a lot of years studying. Caution should be used in buying a cheap water ionizer. A water ionizer is a scientific piece of equipment and not just a water filter. It has [or at least should have] platinum coated titanium plates (electrodes) in a water cell/chamber. There are intricate electronics involved as well. I think I can safely assume you don’t want to jeopardize your family and/or buy something that will end up in the junk pile in a year or two.

Water Ionizer Manufacturers

There are two good countries for the manufacture of water ionizers at this time [and for the past 20 years], and those are Korea and Japan. The main reason they are good countries for this is that they take the water ionizer industry seriously in those countries. Water ionizers are approved medical devices in those countries, and so are regulated for their highest quality. Also, statistically, electronics and engineering are better as well.

Secondly, within those countries, the manufacturers that have concentrated their scientific prowess in the area of building water ionizers for many years are really only a handful.  It’s not an industry that is easy to break into, because you need a team of engineers who knows what they’re doing as well as a factory whose integrity and quality of workmanship are really high as well. The start-up expenses can and should go into the millions.

Within the Parameters of High-Quality, Can you Still Buy a Water Ionizer Cheaply These Days?

Yes. The  Nexus water ionizer models are a great example of that. They are made in Korea, certified as medical equipment by the KFDA, and have 10-years parts/labor warranties. Of all the inexpensive water ionizer that I’d recommend, the Nexus brand is the best. All water ionizers which are made in China, though they may seem great, are not a good bargain at all. China is where the engineering, and electronics are statistically of lower-quality. There are also a few US-made water ionizers, which are literally assembled here and mostly made with imported parts. In the US, where water ionizers are not considered medical equipment, I highly suggest to stay away from these “deals”.
