An Alkaline Diet Helps You Stay Healthy
Learning about acid-alkaline diets is crucial to your health. You pay for the acidic foods that you eat in more ways than you can count. Every cell in your body has acidic wastes that get trapped in the cells if you don’t provide enough alkalinity in your diet to buffer the release of these wastes into your blood supply.
I felt this yesterday at the ball park. I ate hot dogs, nachos, peanuts, ice cream and soda. What an awful combination of acidifying foods! At about the 6th inning I could feel my body get a sick sort of feeling. Fortunately I had some ionized water in the car waiting for me after the game [stored perfectly in my awesome stainless steel vacuum bottles]. I drank a full 24 oz. bottle and, like magic, felt my body systems return to their normal, healthy levels.
Normally I don’t eat like I did at the ball park. Thank goodness. I try to eat using the 80/20 rule for the most part.

I’ve been extensively researching and using alkaline ionized water, along with trying to stick to a mostly alkaline diet for 20 years [myself, my immediate family, my extended family, and friends]. In that time I’ve learned a lot about the body’s reaction to an overly acidic diet. I admit I don’t always follow my own advice, i.e., I eat junk food sometimes, but in every case the acidity of the junk food brings about negative health symptoms and the alkalinity of drinking ionized water cures those symptoms. The symptoms get cured faster if I follow the 80/20 rule along with drinking ionized water.
Negative Health Symptoms of Eating too Acidic of a Diet
Here are some of the effects I’ve observed from eating too acidic of a diet: all of which so far have been easily cured by eating by the 80/20 rule and/or drinking lots of alkaline ionized water.
- stomach bloating
- sleepiness
- cold/allergy symptoms
- soreness in throat
- aches in joints
- weight gain
- constipation
- an “unwell” feeling
