What is Structured Water?

Structured water is the kind of water found in living plants and animals. It is water molecules lined-up in an orderly fashion. This type of orderly water can enter cells easier and better hydrate them. It can reject toxins and disease, and it has a much higher potential energy than regular water.

Structured Water and Healing Water

There are benefits of structured water. Many scientists have done studies on the healing properties of drinking water, including hexagonally structuring water. There are some famous places where people tend to live longer. These include Lourdes in France, glacial areas, and high mountain stream areas.

Researcher, Dr. Emoto, discovered that healing water was hexagonal shaped. Pictures of flash-freezing this “hexagonal water” resemble beautiful snowflakes. Whereas pictures of regular tap water being flash-frozen were ugly.

Dr. Ben Johnson did a study of healing water, and he found it was “antioxidant-rich” and “negatively-charged”.

Dr. Gerard Pollack did a study of healing water and found it was “structured water”.

These scientists all found different ways of saying the same thing, but more about each below.

Dr. Masaru Emoto

Dr. Emoto studied water for two decades, and recorded his observations with notes and photographs. He found distinct differences between the healing waters and municipal tap water.

He put water droplets from various water sources on slides and then flash-froze them. Healing waters always took on a shape of a hexagon. The pictures from hexagonally structured water looked like beautiful snowflakes in fact.

He repeated this process with many types of ordinary, unfiltered and even polluted water. He also experimented with distilled water, bottled water and other extremely filtered water.

The waters that had the hexagonal shape were the very ones that he had found associated with healing waters.

Jay Hare, from IonWays, sent water from a Jupiter Orion water ionizer to Dr. Emoto. Dr. Emoto tested it and it did have the structured water properties similar to other healing water. Here is a picture of the beautiful, crystal-shape created by ionized water while it was being flash-frozen.

Dr. Ben Johnson

I mentioned Dr. Ben Johnson, because of his work studying both healing waters and ionized water. He traveled to Vilcabamba, Ecuador, to study the water there. People live long in Vilcambamba, often to well over a hundred years old. Their water is famous healing water.

Dr. Johnson also found that the century-old people in Vilcabamba didn’t need hospitals and lived productive lives. They attributed their health to a mountain stream near their town.

Dr. Johnson took his equipment to the stream and tested it. The pH and ORP of the healing water were lightly alkaline and ionized, with a negative charge.

Dr. Gerald Pollack

Dr. Pollack’s “structured water” research seems the most scientific and in-depth. He is an electrical engineer, bio-medical engineer, and has the facilities of the University of Washington at his disposal.

Dr. Gerald Pollack extensively researched healing water for 15 years. He developed some interesting theories about how structured water helps people.

Pollack states that water is not just assistive to all life, it is at the center of the cells’ functions. In his research he observed and compared water found in sources known to be healing-waters vs other water. He found that the structure of healing waters differs from ordinary tap water.

If you look at the structure 3-dimensions it resembles a honeycomb.

Pollack focused on the type of water found inside of healthy cells vs. diseased cells.

Healthy cells contained the honeycomb structure while diseased cells did not. He coined this water “structured water”, but also for the scientific community calls it EZ water.

Dr. Pollack noted that in a healthy cell water has a negative charge, but in a diseased cell the charge diminishes. Diminishing charge signals that the cell is dying.

Also, Pollack theorizes that as the healthy body strives for the highest negative charge (within cells) that it can get.

Health Products that Help to Create Hexagonally Structured Water

The best water structuring devices I've ever found are water ionizers. They do it all: filter water, reduce water by adding antioxidants, micro-cluster water, and ionize it. There are also naturally ionizing filters that can lightly create structured water too.

I drink structured water all day long, every day. When you eat a salad you are also consuming structured water. Plants are nature's way to put water into a structured state.

Health & Benefits of Drinking Ionized Water

There are notable benefits of ionized water, structured water. It makes sense for scientists to study the healing benefits of various kinds of water. We all benefit from research done on “healing waters” found in pockets around the world.

Structured water increases energy, whereas other water products don't. Even natural spring water is not structured water.
